Our specialised team bring with them skills and expertise across a range of experiences and treatments. For example, our principle physiotherapist Tamra McFarlane is, among other things, PD Warrior trained, which is a highly-successful and recognised method of slowing down the progression of idiopathic Parkinson’s disease through specific type of exercise.
Manuel Alcazar, our specialist Pilates Instructor, has a special interest in rehabilitation having worked with a range individuals with neurological conditions, orthopaedic conditions as well as elite athletes. He is able to address their individual needs and work each individual to reach their optimal level of function and performance.

Tamra has over 20-years experience in physiotherapy – working in the United Kingdom, South Africa and Australia. Having qualified as the top student in her year at the University of Wales in Cardiff with a Bachelor of Science degree with First-Class Honours in Physiotherapy.
Manuel Alcazar is a certified Pilates Instructor and with a degree in Science, Physical Activity and Sport is a highly valued member of the Oceanside Physio team, working collaboratively with the physiotherapists to achieve the best outcomes for patients. Manuel has worked with clients from all walks of life and has a special interest in Pilates as a form of rehabilitation.
Alicia graduated from the University of Brighton (UK) in 2007 with a Masters in Rehabilitation Science, having previously completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Science. With several years of clinical experience in the hospital setting and in the community in the UK and Australia, she has established her skill set focussing on treatment and management
